Stop Fitting In

Stop Fitting In

“This is all the rage.”
“This is trending.”
“That outfit isn’t in right now.”
“People are going to make fun of me.”

Since when did we start asking permission to be ourselves?

Seriously—what happened to us? If trends vanished tomorrow, would you even recognize who you are without them?

I used to stand right at that crossroads: follow the crowd or stand alone. And yeah—the crowd looked easier. Blend in. Stay quiet. Be liked. No target on your back.

Safe.

But safe is just another word for forgettable.

I’m damn glad I didn’t choose it.

Because the truth is, the moment you start shrinking yourself to fit in, you lose the only thing that actually makes you valuable—your individuality.

Here’s the part people don’t want to admit: being yourself will cost you. It’ll cost you approval. It’ll cost you comfort. It might even cost you friendships.

Good.

Not everyone deserves access to you.

I knew I was different early on. People made sure I knew it too.
“Weird.” That was the label.

Now? That’s a badge of honor.

I laughed too loud. I didn’t filter my thoughts. I didn’t play the social games everyone else seemed obsessed with. I wasn’t interested in fitting into the same conversations, the same expectations, the same boxes.

And yeah—it alienated me.

But it also did something better: it filtered people out.

The ones who stayed? Real. Loyal. Unbothered by the noise. The kind of people you actually want in your corner.

We were the “outcasts,” and honestly? We were freer than anyone else in the room.

Because we weren’t performing. We weren’t pretending. We weren’t begging to be accepted.

We just were.

And that’s power.

Let’s get something straight—people who judge you, mock you, or try to tear you down aren’t above you.

They’re intimidated.

Your confidence makes them uncomfortable. Your authenticity exposes their insecurity. Your refusal to conform reminds them they don’t have the guts to do the same.

So they try to bring you down to their level.

Don’t.

Don’t dim your light. Don’t water yourself down. Don’t twist who you are just to be easier to swallow.

Be loud. Be bold. Be different. Be the person they don’t understand.

Because that’s the person they’ll never be.

God didn’t create you to blend in with copies. He created you with intention—with edge, with fire, with something that was never meant to be duplicated.

So stop trying to file yourself down into something smaller.

You’re not for everyone. You were never supposed to be.

And honestly? That’s your advantage.

Let them stare.
Let them talk.
Let them misunderstand you.

Then go live your life anyway.

Unapologetically.

That mindset? That refusal to conform? That’s what my bullet necklaces stand for. Check them out. They’ve already been fired—already been through impact—and came out the other side different… but still standing. Sound familiar? They’re not polished to perfection. They’re not meant to be. They carry edge. History. Character. Just like you should.
